NEW RELEASE: “Into A Crowded House Where The Lights Were Dim” / “They Call Me Goodbye”

Available NOW on all platforms! Click Here to Stream!

Prisms returns with a two-song release built on rhythm, mystery, and memory — rooted in a warm suburban night, and carried by storytelling that blurs the line between the seen and the felt.

Into A Crowded House Where The Lights Were Dim is a slow-burning snapshot of chance encounters, lingering gazes, and quiet risks taken under fading porchlights. It’s a story told from across a room and through a haze — a narrative lit dimly from within.

They Call Me Goodbye pulls back the curtain and takes off running. Part outlaw ballad, part fever dream, it follows a drifting narrator from a train car to a card game to the edge of town, leaving behind stolen money and unanswered questions. With echoes of Dylan’s Desire, the song unfolds like a weathered journal entry: poetic, rhythmic, and just unreliable enough to be true.

Together, these songs offer a glimpse into a world where nothing is quite still — the house party is fading, the moon is full, the train is leaving, and the narrator’s already gone.

“Both of these songs spilled right out, each being written in under an hour and recorded on the first take or two. That was part of the goal — to have the songs sound like they simply ‘just happened’; in line with how the events within the songs themselves happened. It’s a trip down memory lane — part autobiographical journal entry and part dreamlike memory.”
